The Liberty Shopping Centre, Romford Domestic Water Booster Pump and Associated Control's Replacement 16.11.10

In addition to the scheme itself there is an eight storey commercial office building which we deliver maintenance services for. The cold water supply to the building is boosted from the 1st floor pump installation, this required replacement with a new control system to alert the team onsite should the system fail. The installation took place of the course of two days without any of the tenants in the building being aware of the works.

    Congratulations to all who took part!

    On Saturday 23rd May Mike Wright, Steve Hastings, Kirk Garner, Ryan Johnson took part in the Hull 10K. This was the time to show what weeks of strenuous training had to deliver. One element which every participant had not accounted for was the 'Mediterranean' temperature, this provide a additional challenge. However despite the high temperatures all members completed the race in excellent times with Steve Hastings being the first across the finish line in an excellent time of 52 minutes 16 seconds.

    Along with the Origin team taking part were members of the St Stephens management team who also produced some very good times with the deputy centre manager Tony van der Vliet leading from the front completing the race in 59 minutes 19 seconds.

    The preparation for next year beings now, once again a fantastic effort.

  • The Liberty Centre

    Control Tech Services have been awarded the contract to provide technical services to the centre which is located in Romford. The covered centre has a high annual footfall of 23million people coming to eat and shop in one of the 100+ retail outlets. With this being a large (over 500,000 sq ft) centre the Control Tech Services team are committed to meeting the challenges of ensuring it is a safe and clean place to shop, eat and work.

  • CSR contribution

    Control Tech Service's Project engineer Mike Wright has been working with St Stephen's Shopping Centre Management to improve the facilities of a local charity in Hull which provides training and support to people with learning disability and also suffering multiple disadvantages. The work undertaken was the redecoration of their facilities which were in need of facelift, the materials were provided by the St Stephen's Management team and the labour was provided by Mike Wright. Mike Wright commented ' that it was a great team effort to assist a valuable local charity on improving their facilities'. Mike Wright and Ryan Johnson from the Tech Service's team and their facilities manager Kirk Garner with other members of the management team from St Stephens are later this month going to undertake a 10K run in aid of the Daisy Appeal later this month an update on monies raised and race results to follow shortly.

  • Building Energy Review

    As part of Control Tech Services dynamic service offering, the introduction of a 'building energy review' will provide property managers and landlords a key insight into the centres assets as they are installed and operating today and then provides solutions to reduce their energy consumptions. The solutions provided range from non cost options through to replacement of lighting schemes and building management system modifications and installations.

  • Chester Grosvenor

    Control Tech Services now provide services to the centre management team for the day to day operation and maintenance of their 521 car parking space facility. The award of this contract is great achievement as the flagship centre is located less than 3 minutes walk from our head offices in Chester.
